Honolulu Phi Beta Sigma Strut & Stroll Competition Keehi Lagoon, Hawaii January 12, 2020 Alpha Kappa Alpha continues its focus on education with an emphasis on historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). • Lambda Chi Omega Chapter promotes historically black colleges and universities and engages in sustainability efforts. Various activities include researching and publishing information which highlight prominent Alpha Kappa Alpha women and other notable individuals who attended HBCUs. • Recognizing that HBCU funding is one of the primary obstacles that threaten the long-term growth and survival of HBCUs,  we financially support HBCUs.
